America’s Boating Club of Martin County
America’s Boating Course 3rd Edition (ABC3) is certified by NASBLA (National Association of State Boating Laws Administrators), and covers both Federal and Florida State boating regulations. The course is taught over a 2-day weekend by experienced volunteer instructors who are members of America’s Boating Club of Martin County (St. Lucie River Power Squadron).
Individuals completing the course earn the Florida Boating Safety ID Card. Temporary ID cards are issued by the instructor upon completion of the course and final exam. Permanent plastic ID cards are mailed a couple weeks later by the State of Florida.
We offer 2 options for registering:
- ABC3 Course w/ Student Manual ($60/person)
- ABC3 Course – No Manual ($30/person)
The ABC3 course with Student Manual includes a 270 page color-illustrated manual. The No Manual option is designed for additional family members sharing a manual. The course content is the same for both options. The ABC3 course is open to the general public and anyone with an interest in safe boating. You do not need to be a member of America’s Boating Club of Martin County to take this course.
The registration page requests the customer’s name, email address, telephone number, desired course date, and number of attendees. This data is used to confirm registration for the ABC3 course. Course completion records are also submitted to the State of Florida so the official Florida Boating Safety ID cards can be mailed. We do not share this data with any other third party companies or organizations.
We now accept PayPal and credit cards, in addition to cash or check. Registering with payment helps our instructors know in advance how many students to expect for the course and ordering of materials.
We also accept payment via cash or check. If paying by cash, please pay the instructor when you arrive. If paying by check, please make the check out to “SLRPS”, and mail to our Squadron Treasurer:
